Violation of Probation Attorneys
If you are sentenced in the Municipal Court or Superior Court to a period of probation, you will sign an agreement with the Probation Department which will require you to do certain things, such as reporting to your probation officer when you are told to, paying fines and court fees, and perhaps submitting to random drug tests. You will also be required not to get arrested again. If you violate any of the terms of your probation, you will be required to go back to the court and appear before the judge that sentenced you.
The sentencing judge will have a hearing where the prosecutor must prove that you violated probation. If the prosecutor proves to the judge that you did violate probation, the judge can sentence you to jail or prison or extend your period of probation. The attorneys at Galantucci & Patuto, Esqs. have a great deal of experience in representing defendants on violations of probation in the Municipal Courts and Superior Courts.
