Penalties for a SECOND DWI in New Jersey NJSA 39:4-50

  • 2 days in jail which can be served at the intoxicated drivers resource center;

  • 1 to 2 years loss of license- interlock thereafter for 2 to 4 years;

  • 48-hours Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center;

  • Between $250 and $400 in fines.;

  • A $1,000 annual automobile insurance surcharge for three years;
